We assist clients with the probate and administration of estates, as well as the distribution and administration of trusts and other non-probate assets. We also assist clients in carrying out their fiduciary responsibilities as personal representatives of estates and as trustees of trusts, including:

  • Preparation and filing of Probate Court forms, including accountings and inventories
  • Advising clients regarding federal estate tax, gift tax and generation-skipping transfer tax - compliance, including the preparation and review of Federal Estate Tax Returns (Form 706) and Federal Gift Tax Returns (Form 709)
  • Advising clients regarding provisions of wills and trusts and their fiduciary duties
  • Structuring transactions with estates and trusts in an effort to minimize taxes and to facilitate family planning
  • Preparation of agreements among successors (i.e Section 912 Agreements)
